Postgraduate Meeting
This one-day meeting is aimed at early career researchers (postgraduate, early career postdoctoral worker in their first post or young industrialist within their first 2 years of employment) whose work involves NMR spectroscopy. The day will comprise talks and posters presented by early career researchers, giving them an opportunity to showcase their research in a friendly and informal atmosphere. It will also include overview talks by leading experts in their fields. Attendance by established scientists and group leaders is also encouraged to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for all those presenting.

The venue is easily accessible by road from the M1 and M62, or through public transport links by rail via Leeds railway station or by air via Leeds-Bradford Airport. Abstract submission deadline for poster or oral presentations is 22nd May 2010.
Attendance at the meeting is free to all early career workers who submit an abstract of the work they would like to present at the meeting before the closing abstract deadline (extended) of the 22nd May 2010. All those wishing to participate MUST register for the meeting.
A total of 8 speakers will be selected to present their work from amongst all of those submitting abstracts. Standard class travel costs for those selected to speak at the meeting will be reimbursed (up to £50, receipts will be required).
Those wishing to attend the meeting but who are either established researchers, do not wish to submit an abstract for presentation or are early career researchers who submit an abstract which is received after the 22nd May 2010 are requested to pay a nominal registration fee to cover costs (£20.00 for established researchers, £10.00 for early career researchers).
A buffet lunch and teas/coffees will be provided for all registered delegates.
Prizes for the best Oral Presentation and the best Poster will be made on the day. We are grateful to Jeol UK Ltd for sponsoring the 2010 prize for best Oral Presentation.

1.30pm-2.10pm: 40 minute Poster Session, Odd Numbered Posters Manned
2.10pm-2.50pm: 40 minute Poster Session, Even Numbered Posters Manned
2.50pm-3.20pm: Overview Lecture 2
3.20pm-4.20pm: 3 ´ 20 minute slots for oral presentations
4.20pm: Tea/Coffee Break
4.30pm: Award of Best Presentation Prize and Close of Meeting
A panel of judges will select the Best Oral Presentation (£100 prize, sponsored by Jeol UK Ltd) and the Best Poster Presentation (£50 prize, sponsored by the NMR DG).
